is this insomnia? tricks and tips for dealing with it?
I feel like it is but im not like an expert, im not asking for expert advice or anything just wanting to clear it up for me.
I usually sleep, maybe on average, 5 hours a night, sometimes i sleep 2-3 hours sometimes i sleep like, 7, recently i slept for like, 9 hours i think which was nice i guess. im really not any more or less sleepy during these days, but my body gets affected differently i guess. like, i feel like im always the same tired, with maybe my eyes getting heavier and watery more as hours tick by.
physically its not like, great. When i dont sleep for a bit i twitch and my body spasms usually as i try to sleep, for a while like minutes to maybe more? it wakes me up, doesnt let me sleep. I might have more issue moving around or walking ig too. I dont get head aches often but everything gets fuzzy when i lay down, like i get dizzy and dont know where things are. I think worst are the heart palpitations. I get them sometimes and it feels like im dying, like " oh this is it had a good run! " but its like ' whatever its happened before ' usually but when i dont get much sleep i think the other stuff affects it. idk maybe the twitchings worse than that, that sucks.
Not sure if its relevant but im a 21 year old female, is it? maybe, probably.
Anyway i kinda just want that stuff to stop, that'd be nice, also when i do sleep a while i wake up a lot, like i think last time i woke up at least 2 times, maybe more i think because i had like 4 different dreams???? idk i know i woke up a bit wonky though. Is that common with insomnia? waking up a ton when youre actually sleeping ok?
anyway im rambling mb, uhhhh if anyone has something similar id be nice to hear what helps with the physical stuff like twitching or dizziness. Also know i dont really listen to music or audio books so i dont think that'd help me, most music that makes my head nice and relaxed is very loud or abrupt music i doubt would help sleep, i dont eat or drink before bed so food stuff and drink stuff is a no go, any scents or candles are too it makes my head hurt and that makes sleep like 100000000% worse oh god the headaches, but thats a water thing not a sleep thing i think, anyway. So uh, idk, oh 'limit screen time' might not work either my mind is both empty and full like that one cup question, even without a screen i can stay awake for a very, very long time thinking or zoned out. Oh and uh ' tire yourself out during the day! " might not work either, id just walk and walk and think and still be awake but my body would hurt. So wow, thats really unhelpful huh?
OK! well maybe diet stuff? if anyone has things that helped with that in that regard? or idk other suggestions would be nice im not sure....
TLTR: Might have insomnia, if it walks like a duck and sleeps like one kinda thing, cant shake it, experiencing issues wondering if folks experienced similar and might have tips and tricks for it.
