Well, the Shadow Bond has finally returned, and I don’t know what to feel about it. It’s cruel. I’ll get straight to the point: I can understand him accepting shadow bond but at least Sunny should have harbored some hatred toward it. He was fighting for freedom all this time, and now he accepted his cruel fate.
But who am I to question his choices?
When I think about Sunny from the First Nightmare, I feel like he would have been much more vindictive toward his current self and would have seen him as pathetic for giving up so early. At least, that’s what I believe.
Honestly, I think Sunny from the First Nightmare and the Forgotten Shore had a more “Sovereign-like” attitude than the current Sunny. (My opinion) It’s kind of insane when you think about how much his character has developed. I think Sovereign Sunny has become a lot kinder and softer.
My top 5 moments of Shadow Slave:
(They are in no particular order)
• Weaver showing how gods died
• Neph vs Abjuration
• Mordret eradicating House of Night single handedly
• Sunny vs 13 saints
• Nightwalker return
Honorable mentions
• Sunny vs slayer in death realm
• Orphne killing Weaver
• Sunny and Neph autistic love
I know people usually say volume 10 is just super bad but I think it's not half bad if you see it in 3 parts instead of volume as whole. Especially when you are reading as a daily reader, it's fell dull as compared to other volumes?
Death game = 10/10 (Everything about it is just so peak)
Mirage city Noir = debatable whether you liked the setting or not. Otherwise it was just chef's kiss at least for me
Eternal city = 2-4/10 it was horrible in my opinion. Pacing was just way off and G 3 was not even trying to write. (My opinion)
What do you all think? Do let me know.
