Just sharing my experience with an ISTP whose intentions I think are straightforward yet subtle.
He’s my colleague at work. We’re both very busy, hardly have time for lunch and both work from home most days, but we see each other for lunch (during office hours) once a month. I’m the one who invites him. We’ve been doing this for a year now.
I think we both sort of know that we’re interested in each other but we’re both treading carefully because this is a workplace.
He consistently tells me every time we meet that
- “I don’t have any meetings after lunch”
- “I don’t want to go back to work”
- “I'd just chill on a day like this"
and he gets really giddy and weirdly apologetic when he’s busy and has to reschedule or whenever he arrives at the restaurant later than me.
He’s soft and sensitive to my reactions and remembers what I like and don’t like. He lets me boss him around (a bit).
I have no idea where this is heading, but it’s slow and comfy. Just wanted to share this here because I cannot let him know how I feel, but I still need an emotional outlet.
