I never really understood the whole debate about whether VTubers and PNGTubers are the same, so what’s really the difference? I know there’s an obvious one VTubers can move more and express more emotions but besides that, is there really any other difference?

People have told me they’re nowhere near the same. However, honestly, I don’t really think the difference is that significant. Both sides use a persona to represent themselves, and if they want to, they can lean into a “character.” I’ve seen PNGTubers make similar content to VTubers (and vice versa), and there’s a lot of overlap.

At the end of the day, both are content creators. So like I said, I don’t really understand the debate. Any differences you can tell me?
