I have a not so close anymore friend I saw yesterday. I told her I realised how important is a support system and the reason I was sucessful in stopping few years ago was I had one. Now I don't and after 40 days it felt like the first every day of the journey, so I smoke again. But I have no close friends, or a significant other, or a normal stable family. She told me- yea but it's not a life or death situation, right? And she completly missed the point, because it is, smoking kills. Even if I didn't have history of cancer in my family and astma she forgot about, or the feeling of pain in my teeth every time I smoke, it could still kill me. Have you felt frustrated like that in your journey?
