Most people assume successful founders had money, support, or a safety net.

Rohit Jain had none of that.

He was born on 30 July 1987 in Silwani, a small village near Sagar (Madhya Pradesh). His life changed early—he lost his father at just 3 years old.

He grew up in Indore, often staying with relatives and managing with limited resources. Despite everything, he stayed focused on one thing: education.

He took a loan to complete his engineering from Malwa Institute of Technology.

But graduating didn’t magically fix things.

Early Career Struggles

  • 2009: Started as a faculty member in a private college
  • Salary: ₹6,000/month

Not ideal—but it was a start.

  • 2010–2012: Worked as a Design Engineer
  • 2013: Joined a major transformer company

For many, that would’ve been “settling down.”

For him, it was just preparation.

The Big Risk (2014)

  • Started Electro-Tech Transmission Pvt. Ltd. (ETT)
  • Investment: ₹5 lakh
  • Team: 5 people
  • Setup: Rented premises

No backup. No guarantees. Just belief.

His core mindset:

“There is always room for improvement—keep learning and keep growing.”

Building the Business

Instead of chasing shortcuts, he focused on:

  • Quality
  • Consistency
  • Timely delivery

That slowly built trust.

Major milestones:

  • Supplied 1200 transformers to Bhopal DISCOM (2018–19)
  • 3600 to Jabalpur DISCOM + 80 to Indore DISCOM (2019–20)
  • Expanded to Maharashtra Electricity Board

Smart Expansion

In 2019, he launched:

  • Strikeco EV
  • Strikeco Batteries

This turned out to be a crucial move—especially during COVID.

Growth Numbers

  • ₹63 crore turnover (2023–24)
  • ₹77 crore (2024–25)
  • ₹126 crore (2025–26)

From a rented setup to a full manufacturing facility.

Also:

  • ISO & BIS certifications
  • Adoption of modern tech

Mission

To provide reliable, sustainable, eco-friendly transformer solutions at affordable prices while expanding globally.

Vision

To become a trusted, globally recognized name in the energy sector through innovation.

Takeaway

He didn’t start with advantages.

He started with:

  • a loan
  • a ₹6k/month job
  • and a mindset to keep improving

And just kept building.

Proof that where you start doesn’t decide where you end up.
