Does Rick really “need” Morty?
Rick says that Morty blocks out his genius brain waves with his dumb ones, but I think it’s bs that Rick made an entire citadel of Rick and Morty’s and basically made it a “Morty Market” when he acts like he hates him so much.
- He goes on adventures without him fairly often
Some examples: Rick and 2 crows, when he made robot Rick, when he killed worldender.
He’s smart enough to either make something to block his brain waves or find something/someone that can and isn’t a grandson that’s super replaceable.
The main person who he is blocking his brain waves from is Rick prime and he could definitely figure out how to get past that, and he is basically proof that he doesn’t need Morty to block brain waves cause they would’ve found Rick prime by his brain waves forever ago if it was as easy as not having a Morty around considering has one around him.
Lastly if all these Ricks almost always have a Morty around them it would basically be finding a Rick to find a Morty so how is it really hiding? Especially with the giant group of Morty brain waves at the citadel when it existed, would that not be a giant sign saying “hey a bunch of Rick’s are trying to hide their brain waves here”
I’m not trying to say it’s bad writing or anything but basically I’m saying that Rick is a lying old man who just can’t admit he loves and needs and cares about his family and especially his grandson and he would probably spiral into depression without his company and that’s why all the Rick’s need these Morty’s
