Im 16,female 5'6, 233 pounds and im severly allergic to poisen ivy. This is a long poat and im sorry if i didnt put everything required. Ive always been a big fan of eating nuts but never really casews as its just a thing my family doesnt buy. Today i eat about two handfuls of roasted and salted cashews and in about 6 min my thoat started to feel weird. Like spicy and numb but tingly all at the same time. And i rembered i read somewhere that if foods that arent spicy feel spicy then you might be allerguc so i stopped eating it. The back of my throat started swelling about 10 min after i eat it. My tougne did too and i couldn't swallow. I couldn't really breath through my throat so i had to out of my nose. My lips got really swoolen and i started drooling (ew). I started getting lines of rash from my mouth area up my face. My chest started hurting and my stomach did too. My mom told me to take benadryl. I couldnt find it and she didnt even help me look for it. I ended up finding it and i took two pills. By that point my swelling had already started to go down and i dont think the benadryl did anything. Its now about 2 hours after it happened and my mom still wont take me to a doctor. My mouth, tougne, and throat arent swollen anymore but my face is still red and my eyes are puffy and red and ive been having to blow my nose every few minutes. My chest hurts really bad and so does my stomach. Im staring to feel really sleepy but i read that it can have another reaction that could be worse. Im kinda scared that i wont wake up cause of the benadryl if it does happen again. My mom told me to just go to sleep. Google says not to. Should i stay awake in case it does happen again? If it does happen again idk what to do. The closest er is 30 minutes away. And i honestly doubt my mom will take me. Can i take anything to make my stomach stop hurting? Im feeling really nauseous and my lower throat feels weird. Is there anything i should do?
