Hello Guitarists of Reddit!!

So I have been wanting a travel electric guitar, but not wanting to shell out $200 to $500 for one. So I was thinking about buying a cheap Glarry strat ot tele and Shaving it down a bit.I've seen other travelcasters and they have no wood behind the bridge, so I made a Canva quick mock up of the idea!! But I would like some feedback from fellow guitarists/luthiers before I decide to go down my path of insanity lol.
