Hi guys,
My 6 months old male cat got neutered yesterday, and also got his umbilical hernia removed in the same time.
He got released from the clinic around 6PM, and had already peed a bit in his cage. Around 7PM, he made a big pee in his litterbox. He then drank a lot of water and ate a good quantity of food ( liquid and solid ).
This morning, I noticed that almost all of his water bowl was empty. However, no pee in the litterbox, and still no pee at almost 1PM now.
Should I be worried ? He is playful and is now sleeping in his bed, like he always does. No signs of suffering IMO, and I haven’t seen him trying to pee. Under my vet advice, I temporarily changed his litter for paper journal, so that the usual litter doesn’t irritate him.
I would greatly appreciate your support and your advice on this. Might be overreacting, but I figured this was worth asking the community before getting to the vet.
