Me- I agree - can you send them to ED and we will see them from there.
GP- Are you not accepting them then?
Me- All urgent primary care referrals need to come through ED. They will be triaged and have bloods, then we will see them.
GP- I was an SHO there and I know that’s not how it works.
Me- Do you want to send them or not.
GP- Huffing puffing and saltiness “what’s your name”
Me- Name
Admitted the very sensible patient a couple of hours later.
Bro- I said to send them in. Why are you arguing with me..? How do you think they get booked in so we can see them?
