Trapped in Barovia, my DM has decided my warlock familiar is twisted by the Amber Temple and planar forces, so even when it's a normal animal it's creepy, orange, translucent and aberrant.
Currently, when it speaks to causes psychic damage and is generally disturbing.
I'm looking for images or gifs of animals doing weird shit to creep out my party.
So my characters have an energy field that presents as a coloured aura, changing colour as the intensity increases. It's called their Chroma, and when they drive themselves from one level to the next its called Pushing their Chroma.
When they are under intense stress they can ascend to the next chroma even if they haven't trained for it, or even go 2 or 3 levels above. Originally I called (I have tried) this Flaring.
Then I read Mistborn, where Flaring is when a character uses their magic at a more intense level. Since its basically the same thing, using the same word is just not happening.
Anyone have a good understanding of colour or light theory, maybe a word for intensifying colour, to build on Chroma?
