Hi r/finedining - this has never happened to me before so I’m not sure what to do in this circumstance. My partner and I just finished a lovely experience at two Michelin star highly regarded restaurant in NYC. Approx 1.5 hours later both of us have the runs - and pretty badly. Thank goodness we’re at home.

Has this happened to any of you before? Is this something you’d mention to the restaurant? It seems like what’s done is done and so hard to point fingers but it also feels crappy (pun unintended) that we spent 1.5k usd and this is what happened.

Edit: thanks all for the shared stories, tips and well wishes. Won’t email them after all and it’s probably just gut intolerance.
