People really need to mind their own business
Went today to submit water and sewage tax at mcf office (ik it can be submitted online but the server was having payment issues so decided to visit once) , the room was big with different sections. I was wearing a T shirt and shorts which covered till half of my knees as I'm a bit tall (keep in mind IM A GUY if that matters to anyone for the context) , went in and didn't know which side to go to for the submission so I went straight ahead , an old man probably in his late 40s or 50s was sitting on his chair behind the desk I asked him where can I submit these taxes and instead of replying to my question he straight up went-
"tum park me ghoomne aaye ho ya sarkari daftar me aaye ho aise kapde pehen ke?"
i was very angry shocked at first like very very. its summers + they dont even have air conditioning there + its just straight away idiotic to ask people to not wear clothes of their choice to a place which doesnt even have a dress code + the place he called an office was just a room with wore off wall paint and a bunch of protein deficient people who hadnt had a shower in 10 days , I answered-
"mai ye sab krne nahi aaya hu maine jo pucha hai uska jawab do bass" also added "kaam kuch hota hai nahi yaha aadhe se zyada baar naam ka daftar hai"(which is true)
he said "to mai bhi to kuch sawaal puch raha hu uska jawab tum do pehle" and repeated his previous sentence.
i calmy repeated my previous response as i was in a hurry didnt want to indulge all that bs and to that he again replied with his pointless point of why i was wearing those shorts.
this time i was fed up and said in a noticeably louder and angry tone
"agar sarkaar ko dikkat hai to dikhao kaha likhra hai dress code? aur tumse jo pucha hai sirf uska jawab do warna boldo ki nahi pata ye sab bakwas sunne nahi aya hu idhar"
to that he finally gave it off and said "vo saamne".
whole experience was very weird to me as it was my first time going to something of this sort , immediately went out and called mom to tell her what happened which calmed me down a lot.
the funny part is when i got off the call and was going in inside to get the tax submitted i saw that guy was out smoking in public area , really wanted to confront him on that one but decided to went ahead with my day.
couldnt submit the tax since the guy wasnt there I'll go back a few days after wearing the same shorts XD.
People in India really need to mind their own business , a lot of people I see around love feel superior after doing all this but don't even bother to use a thought on what they do and these are the kind of people I hate the most.
