You mostly hear about IISER grads going abroad for PhDs or doing great in academia, but that’s clearly not the whole story.

What about the rest?

If you were at an IISER and:

  • had a low/average CGPA, or
  • lost interest in academia, or
  • just didn’t end up on the “ideal” path

what did things look like after graduating?

  • Was it hard to find a direction right after IISER?
  • Did CGPA end up mattering a lot?
  • What are you doing now?
  • Do you feel IISER prepared you well for non-academic paths?
  • How connected are you with your college peeps after 2-3 years?

Not looking for polished success stories more interested in the messy, real trajectories people here don’t usually talk about.
