I’m currently looking for vintage standards manuals out of personal interest. Some of the well-known classics are, for example, the NASA Graphic Standards Manual or the New York City Transit Authority manual.
I’ve spent some time trying to find other manuals from this period, but they are surprisingly difficult to track down. So far, I’ve mainly been using the following sources:
archive.org (e.g. Bell System, NASA, NYCTA)
brandingstyleguides.com (a large collection ranging from historical to contemporary)
doublearrow.co.uk (scans of the British Rail system)
I was wondering if you might know of any additional sources or directions where similar documents can be found. It’s a bit hard to believe that so little material seems to be available.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
