This is a portrait of my daughter. I’m a couple years into hobby painting and gravitating towards portraiture. I don’t have any training so I reach a place in my paintings where I don’t know what is maybe technically or otherwise artistically off. I’ve resolved some of the problems I was having using various white paint too much to reduce value, but maybe not? Just wondering if anyone can identify any helpful pointers generally or specifically. I’m always looking to improve.
