Fresh or Frozen

Hi everyone, I always thought when doing IVF it would always be a fresh transfer first, then if you need to go again I thought thats when you would be using frozen but from what I have been googling and from what I gather its not the case, that sometimes the clinic freezes all the embryos and then you go back the following cycle to transfer? I’m just wondering what is the best thing to do or why would someone pick frozen over fresh?
Edit to say, I’m currently waiting for my next appointment with the IVF clinic and we will be making our plan and just curious why others may have chosen frozen for the first round
