[UPD] BS Math vs. [ADMU] BS ME

hello! idk where subreddit this belongs to so i'll just cross post.

just a couple of days ago, my scholarship appeal (appealed for 100%, got 50%) was granted by ADMU.

as for budget, we're unsure if we can sustain ADMU, but my parents, as supportive and willing as they are, are asking me to choose first what i want.

i passed UPD BS Math and ADMU BS ME, and i'm having trouble deciding which one to pursue.

because i had no dream program nor career growing up, i chose the program that best aligned with the forte of the school i was applying for. somewhere in the choices, i also included BS Math because idk, i was kind of interested? i liked math in hs but i wouldn't say i'm good—i just had a small knack for it.

i know most will probably say that ADMU BS ME is the right choice, but it's so hard for me to let UPD go. as i look more into the programs and their career opportunities, i can't help but also see that BS Math might also be good.

ADMU will take care of me, but i seem to want to go to UPD.

this is a cry for help 😭 today is the deadline for the ADMU scholarship confirmation 💔

[UPD] Is BS Math worth it?

hello! with the acceptance confirmation deadline nearing, i'm having second thoughts about BS Math in UPD.

i was never someone who had a dream school or career. when i was applying for college, i put BS Math in my choices only because i felt that i had a knack for math. i'm not smart by any means, and i'm average at hs math—i just enjoy it every once in a while.

the fact that the degree is called vaguely "math" and not a clear job path (e.g. BS CE, IE, etc.) is scaring me.

i know BS Math opens up a lot of doors, but to BS Math graduates or students, what do you think? is it worth pursuing?

[UPD] How to begin?

hello! i'm an incoming BS Math freshie in UPD, currently a bit confused in how the enrollment(?) works.

i already accepted my offer a few weeks ago. paano po yung process ng pag-enroll? i'm not sure kung ano ba—pupunta ba sa campus tas may babayaran then susubmit ng requirements like other schools?

then with regards po sa enlistment of subjects, may outline po ba or parang list of classes na need kunin in consideration of the course or talagang purely wala kang knowledge kung ano dapat mong kunin 😅 ++ i've seen na may portal(?) ata yung pag-enlist mismo, but some say na may f2f din.

if you can share your experience po, it'll help a lot. thank you so much!

[UPD] Best Solo Condo?

I previously did a post asking whether Berkeley or Blue is better overall for a student in UPD. Firstly the commute, then the location, quality of units, etc.

Others recommended others like Xavierville 101 and Studio A. Can I just ask here then what's the best condo in your opinion? Like easy commute / walk to UPD, then quality unit + amenities, as well as accessibility to food and laundry shops.

  1. Blue Residences
  2. Hawthorne Heights
  3. Xavierville 101
  4. Studio A
  5. Berkeley Residences
  6. Torre Lorenzo
  7. If you have other SOLO CONDO suggestions near UPD

Which one of these and why? Can you share your experiences? Thanks in advance!

[UPD] Blue or Berkeley Residences?

Incoming UPD student here! I'm looking for condos near UPD and found that Berkeley is the closest one. My cousin who previous studied in UPD said she used to walk it (15 mins), but many ride tricy.

In contrast, Blue is a little but further away, but it's conveniently directly in front of a sakayan (trike and jeep)—one ride away (10-30min).

In terms of amenities, location, quality of units in consideration of prices, and overall experience, ano mas praktikal?
