Hi,

I haven't used my GS77 for a while (worked too much to have time to game) until a few weeks ago and i've noticed they changed a bunch of stuff in the MSI Center but the main feature i used to use was the silent mode, now replaced by an "eco silent", which turn the computer into something barely useable beside browing the web or watching video.

Whereas before i could play quite decently on silent mode without major throttling, so i could play next to someone watching the TV without making the noise of a small hairdryer (altought a repasting plus regular cleaning, and disabling turbo via ThrottleStop, has made the noise far less loud, keeping a nice top temp of 75°C on intensive use and normal fan speeds).

So i managed to get my hands on an older version of MSI center which still has the silent mode but apprently the app auto-update via the store and i can only block update for a handfull of weeks, no matter what i try, so i have to reinstall it every 5 weeks.

I looked in the bios if there was a settings that could help me but couldn't find anything.

Tried a bunch of other software for fan control but none seems to detect the fans or give me control on it (fan control, SpeedFan and Argus Monitor show the fans and temps but no ways to control them).

Anyone has encoutered a similar issue and managed to control the fan with something else than MSI center?
Or if you have any ideas of other software i could try, 'cause my search mostly throw the same three software...

If not i'll keep reinstalling the old version of MSI center once in a while but i would be nice to have some thing a bit more permanent...
