My instructor for one of my classes clearly is only teaching because he has to for his PhD and it has had a huge impact on my class experience. He's late, rude, reads straight off his slides and clearly is not engaged with the course material, the whole nine yards.
However, what is the most worrying thing to me is that my final project is due tonight and he never graded or gave feedback on our rough drafts- so I'm blindly submitting a project that I have no feedback from him on. In the syllabus and assignment descriptions it's clearly outlined that receiving and applying feedback is a significant part of the process. There is also a reflection part of the assignment talking about what you learned through the process, how you grew as a writer, etc and I feel like I really don't have much to say since I have zero feedback besides peer review.
Since the expectation for him to provide feedback on essays is outlined in the syllabus, is there any grounds for a grade dispute or escalating this issue?
