So I just received my AQA A-Level history NEA mark back today and received 23/40. I am completely distraught as I tried extremely hard for this piece of work.
For context, my teacher, who previously taught edexcel, is new and came in this year. He is the only history teacher in my school. Throughout the entirety of his coursework guidance, he has been very confused and was not reading through our work properly. When giving feedback, he had told other students they were at a level 3 , and instead of saying this to me, he said that I was on track to get the grade I deserve. As someone who gets A/B grades, this seemed great. The only feedback he provided was to add more specific dates/events which I did and additional context to sources/interpretations, which I did again.
I’m incredibly upset and just wanted to ask if it’s still possible to get a B or even an A in history. I don’t know if anyone has a similar shared experience but this definitely ruined my day.
I’m also not sure if it’s worth to remark as he has scared me by saying if you do you could loose marks. He also said AQA will check anyways, so I’m not sure what to do. Any advice?
