Moved From a 2019 Volvo XC60 T6 Momentum to a 2025 CX-5 Turbo Signature

Hello everyone! before I get stoned I'd like to begin with this:

I really like my new-to-me CX5! (6K miles at time of purchase)

BUT

I have some thought and wanted to see if they resonate with other owners and whether there are solutions

  1. No auto dimming side mirrors - huge step down - kinda sucks

  2. Steering wheel upholstery feels cheap

  3. I like holding the gear knob while I drive sometimes, it feels cheap and plasticy

  4. The pleather gear knob surrounding fabric feels horribly cheap

  5. Why cant I use the touch controls on the touch screen if im going above 0 MPH, the know is much more distracting

  6. The quality of the cameras like the reverse camera are horrible for a 2025 car

  7. The ACC is not very good in congestion, the car will speed up too much and then slow down harshly

  8. On my Volvo, when I set the speed to 60 and traffic was going 40, if I used the blinker to move lanes the car would speed up and then you move over, switch off the blinker and car speed re-adjusts according to vehicle in front, in the CX5, I hit the blinker, nothing happens, accelerate to switch lanes, this cancels acc and i have to set it again - mild annoyance

Hello Everyone! looking to get some help

Right now we have one design system, and it’s built only for desktop.

Now we’re starting to work on a mobile app, and that’s my main question — what is the right way to move forward?

Should I:

Create a design system for Android

Create a separate design system for iOS

And also another one for mobile web

Or is it better to keep everything under one system and extend it?

I’m trying to understand:

What is the correct structure when a product exists on desktop, mobile web, and native apps

How to handle differences between platforms (for example iOS patterns vs Material Design on Android)

How to keep consistency but still follow platform conventions

Also, it would really help if you can share examples of design systems that support web + iOS + Android.

Thank you!
