Hi all,

Been a lurker for a few months but wondered if anyone could help shed some light on this watch.

My late grandad wore it until his passing and it's my turn to wear it. Before I do, I wanted to see if I could find out a bit more about it.

I "googled" the number on the back but it mainly said to go into Cartier to use a special system to track it down.

Other than that, would anyone know the year, the exact model or anything like that?

I own a tag and because it's never going to be sold, I've just used a local guy to service it, new battery, make it waterproof etc. My tag needed parts before and they still used genuine parts but I saved a fortune on the labour.

Can I do something similar with this watch? Or best to go Cartier for service? It's been 7 years since he passed, and it hasn't been serviced from then.

Sorry for the nooby questions!
