New litter box habit
Hi everyone:)
I'm struggling with a new habit of my 1-year-old male neutered cat and I was wondering if someone here can help me.
He never had problems with the litter box, apart from the usual accidents when he was a kitten, until a couple of weeks back, when he started defecating outside.
What he does is actually going inside the litter box and leaning his butt outside, so the feaces fall either partly or completely outside.
At the beginning I thought it was a one time thing, but it has become more and more constant, and now he does it almost every day.
To give you more context, the cat is quite huge (7kg) and the litter box is a standard one, so I thought that perhaps the litter is too small for him, but he has been the same size at least for 4 or 5 months now and this didn't seem to be a problem until now.
Has anyone ever had a similar problem? How did you solve it?
