Either I am missing something about Aubry, or

People are just projecting with all of the hate?

Personally, the number of times I’ve seen people call Aubry “miserable” and “eeyore” is getting to be mind blowing.

Yes, she had a rough start and talked about her trouble conserving energy, cried when she was gifted the idol, etc. But since episodes 3 and 4 I’ve seen her being playful/silly, smiling, singing when Coach came down the path, dancing with him, exploring and smiling with Tiff, comforting Chrissy, laughing at herself and calling herself a dumbass, and just playing and having fun in her own way. We are now on episode what, 11? 12? The “eeyore” and “miserable” narrative is getting old. We’ve now seen 7 or 8 episodes straight of Aubry enjoying herself, strategizing, being playful, etc.

It’s just comical to me to see the number of people saying “she is so grouchy and miserable, she’s so unhappy to be there, she wants to be off of the island” etc. I’m like where is this even coming from??

I guess the only explanation is they just don’t like Aubry / she is not their cup of tea?

To me, I’ve really enjoyed her this season and found her to be real and refreshing. I like that she gets scrappy, I like that she shoots it straight, and I like that she’s not just constantly over performing and faking big smiles for the camera. Maybe now *I’m* projecting, because I’m told I have a miserable resting face 😆 but honestly, this is an edited tv product. Nobody knows how Aubry is feeling about being out there, so these detailed narratives about how she is unhappy to be there and ungrateful and taking more deserving people’s spots have got to stop. Nobody “deserves” to be on Survivor, they all applied and submitted tapes and some just got luckier than others. 🤷‍♂️
