Hi, I’m switching to Samsung for the first time after years with Xiaomi (I currently have a Poco X6 Pro 5G) and I’m undecided between the S24 Ultra and the S25 Ultra.
Doing some research online, I noticed that the S24 Ultra has S-Pen air gestures (which would be handy but not essential), while the S25 Ultra doesn't.
On the other hand, the S25 Ultra further reduces screen reflections and offer better sharpness at high zoom levels (which interests me much more than the improved ultra-wide camera), thanks also to a better processor.
Regarding the shape, I’m in doubt: I’m used to the Poco and I don’t know if the S25 Ultra’s shape (which is more similar to my current one) would be better, or if the S24 Ultra would be fine anyway. Unfortunately, there are no stores near me where I can try the S24 Ultra in person, so I’d have to buy it online; also, I’m aware of past complaints regarding the 'boxy' screen but is it true?
In any case, coming from a Poco X6 Pro, I’m not sure if I would actually notice these differences (exluding the shape), as the leap in quality will be huge regardless, but over time i might.
My goal is to switch to a flagship that will last A LOT. Additionally, I use several FOSS apps but on Xiaomi, the permissions I grant are often automatically revoked by the system, while I understand that on Samsung, once permissions are granted (normally or via ADB), they should stay active.
Could you give me a hand in deciding which phone would be better for me?
