Recently picked up a few Samurai Jeans SJ2PST-CREW 2-Packs. I find the updated version a bit long in the body for my liking. I've washed them on cold and hung them dry. They're preshrunk and as predicted, I didn't see any shrink. The width is ok but could stand to lose an inch.
So that got me thinking, when you want to try to shrink loopwheel t-shirts on purpose and in particular, to shrink for length in the safest, most incremental manner, what's best way? The obvious way to shrink cotton is hot wash and then straight into a dryer on hot but is one of those two more effective than the other? As in should I wash on hot, then hang dry? Then check my work and if it's not enough or nothing proceed to wash on hot and then hot dryer? Or wash on cold and then into a dryer on hot?
This feels trivial and like I"m perhaps digging into minutia but obviously one doesn't want to overshoot and end up with a midriffs. At least not until Summer. Does anyone have any words of advice or experience?
