Please hear me out before you up, down, or, ignore.
I simply wonder whether or not it is my own bias that, after recent updates, dispossessing a player is not a bit easier, but way easier.
This adds to my feeling that KONAMI does not really care about the pitch any more.
Yet, this is not a rant. Yet. I am humbly trying to find a clue. I haven’t one as regards to where KONAMI think they are heading.
Every time, after an update, in recent times, it took me a while to recalibrate. This is totally ok, of course, in general.
But I am continuously feeling unaware as to where this is even supposed to be going.
After the recent update(s) I admit I feel actively bullied by the devs. Not me, personally, of course, but as a player group who simply like to play possession based football.
Is it just me feeling this?
In real life, as it used to be in this alleged “simulation”, if you turned your back towards the opponent, they would not be able to dispossess you without fouling.
KONAMI even started, recently, to point this out with new “hints” you see during matchmaking.
Now, I turn, and Pelé, not predominantly known for his defensive prowess, to give one example, just appears to have magic feet which hoover the ball from the half-rear or side, like it didn’t used to be.
I should know, because resilience against the popular “cannonball-press” (just sprinting at the ball at full speed but zero brain) is my main focus for years.
It was already hard enough to get to the point where I was before the recent updates where I was able to keep the ball, at least in my own defense.
In addition, super cancel seems to have been nerfed, significantly, as well, making keeping the ball w players like Messi even harder on the turn and, generally, when already in contact with a defender.
—- Please only contribute if you have anything substantial to add. I don’t need to understand even further that there is discontent about KONAMI and the possible design choices towards people with very little skill but lots of cash to spend on epics with “magnetic feet” etc., and I also already know that if I were incredible I would not think about this topic.
