A friend who is a wine hobbyist in Washington State recently purchased a few barrels of wine from a local winery. Myself and one other friend in CA jumped in and went 50/50 on another barrel. We naively thought we'd road trip up to WA, have fun bottling the barrel, affix some labels, and drive home with about 12 cases +/- each in our trunks. But I guess this is illegal! Doh! ChatGPT says we should have the original winery bottle them for us under a "compliant label" and then have a licensed direct shipper haul it for us.

Any recommendations on options/approaches we may take?
