For my next session I wanted the player characters to partake in a game of Poker.
I'm running the campgain online via Discord and Owlbear, so the obvious choice for me is Discord's built-in game Poker Night. (We already sometimes play while waiting for everyone to arrive anyway, and is what inspired me in the first place)
Issue is, I need two things from the poker simulator:
#1 - infinite turn timer
That way we can have banter between player characters and NPC's, and the players could do something like place a big bet to scare someone off, and then roll an intimidation check to see if it works.
#2 - ability to add bots
The stakes of this poker game will matter so I want there to be a decent amount of competition for the players.
So far I'm planning for me, one person outside of the campgain and one bot to go against them.
Poker night has bots, but the timer only goes up to 90 sec
Bit of a long shot, but if someone ever did something similar or has an answer, I would love to know from you
