Would you use this? "GitHub commits → LinkedIn/X posts" for indie hackers
Hey all, thinking about building a small tool and want honest feedback before I waste a weekend on it.
The idea: you connect your GitHub. It watches your commits, PRs, and merges. When something interesting happens (a feature ship, a nasty bug fix, a refactor), it drafts a build-in-public LinkedIn/X post for you in your voice. You approve, edit, schedule.
The reason: I've seen Taplio etc., but everyone complains the AI posts sound generic because they're written from a topic prompt, not from your actual work. Grounding in real commits should fix that.
Honest questions:
If you'd use this, what's it worth to you per month?
What would kill it for you? (privacy, "feels lazy", AI cringe, etc.)
