I don't do a lot of work in commercial kitchens so if anyone has any experience with this, please chime in.

I am running a 2P 60A circuit to some pre-owned stainless steel electric beer brewing kettles. This is the only equipment underneath the hood fan and none of it is grease-laden equipment. Simply just heaters to keep the beer byproduct warm.

The hood fan has an existing fire supression system built in for the existing gas kettles that are set to come out. The owner wants to hook up the new electric brewing equipment with a local disconnect only and not tie into the fire supression system.

I've done some digging into NFPA 96 but I don't have a clearcut answer of whether I legally need to tie into the fire surpression system with a contactor or not. Anyone dealt with this before?

I am in WA State.
