For exact distance so it's not too vague, let's say your ship is sitting directly above the Mariana's Trench, specifically the Challenger's Deep, and a noise is created at the estimated deepest point of 11,000m down. How loud would that noise need to be for you to be able to hear it clearly, or semi-clearly? Is it possible?

I don't know if this is the right sub to ask this, but I couldn't think of any other sub, and Google searches were incredibly unhelpful and I myself am barely capable of fourth grade level math, so I couldn't begin to even estimate, especially since I don't fully understand how sound works or travels.
