First off, I will preface this by saying that I know that if you don't need to remove it, then you shouldn't. And i got a home inspection saying its Vermiculite loose fill, which qe are just assuming is asbestos laced due to the home being built in 1907. The reasons I feel that it needs to be removed is due to needing to update some Knot and Tube wiring that is still active in the home and needing to put in some Purlins to re-inforce some sagging rafters.

Are those repairs actually something that needs to the asbestos to be removed in order to get the repairs done? Is there any resources in the Billings area of Montana to help? Is this something that is safe to DIY?

Even with the needed work for this, I am getting a good deal on the house so that is not a concern.
