So I’m a very heavy user of spatial computing. I sometimes spend 10+ hours using my AVP on work/research (I’m a physicist for a large company).

My girlfriend is wonderful, but I decided one day to build a custom app that basically puts a filter on her, to make her more beautiful. That way when I look at her throughout the day, she has an overall nicer appearance.

She didn’t know about any of this, but one day I was mirroring my AVP and she walked into view and saw her beautiful virtual self. She was immediately distraught.

I tried to explain that this was merely a manifestation of her inner beauty, that is all. But she felt insulted. Now she won’t come near me when I’m spatially computing, and has hinted at leaving.
