Hello,

I work in a nursery and my manager has informed me today (after around 11 months working there) that the first 15 minutes of every shift is unpaid. I've been given the idea that this is for setup time by another member of staff, however each member of staff goes straight into the room with the children.

Additionally, I was advised that even though we accrue pay hourly, they aren't required to include how many hours are worked each month. Which they don't. This compounds the issues mentioned previously, because I cannot accurately validate my wage without personally tracking it. This of course is good practice, but it seems sketchy that they don't pay for 15 minutes, and also don't include hours.

Finally they often provide payslips late, and in my case didn't provide me with a payslip for the first 3 months of employment.

I believe all of this to be against employment law, but I need other perspectives to be confident in my judgement. I would also appreciate it if anyone could give me advice regarding next steps.

Thank you.
