New Scheme = Untold Success
I’m convinced this new offensive scheme (increased transition rate+pace, orchestrating through KAT @ top of the key in half-court) will translate to significant regular season success. Not going to speculate on what will happen these playoffs (no jinxing), but I feel that with this offensive scheme and renewed defensive intensity the Knicks could win 60-70 games in the upcoming regular season.
Frankly seeing this team elevate their output to match the sum of their parts has been exhilarating. This is the type of output I expected after getting KAT, and after that didn’t happen I thought it would come with Mike Brown. I had just about given up on Brown but with his back against the wall he absolutely cooked.
It has been infuriating to see this team underperform its potential for the past two years, I believe with the caliber of our stars and the depth of this roster there is no reason (barring injury) that this team shouldn’t be a perennial 60+ win team and contender for the one seed. Never, ever felt this good about this team which is so shocking considering how bad things looked after game 3 in Atlanta. I truly believe in this squad LGK
(I still think the best version of this team is with Mitch at the 5 and Hart off the bench)
