Found outside, crystal or glass or something else?

I found this in the bush below a block of apartments, I assume someone chucked it off their balcony for some reason. Its about 10cm and cubic. Its got marks from where its clearly been cut at some point. It could just be glass, I have no idea about this kind of thing.

Probably not relevant but found in Sydney Australia.

Any ideas what it might be?
