We are students of the inaugural MBA-BA batch at IIM Sambalpur, and for months we have been fighting the administration over issues that no student at a premier national institute should have to fight for in the first place.

What was presented to students during admissions as a serious flagship MBA program has now effectively been declared “non-residential,” with students being pushed into an unstable satellite-campus setup in Delhi while paying fees comparable to top residential IIM programs.

Repeated representations, meetings, emails, and negotiations by students have gone nowhere. Every time we raised concerns regarding infrastructure, residential facilities, academic environment, transparency, and student welfare, the administration either delayed, diverted, or outright refused meaningful resolution.

Now the institute has officially hardened its stance and declared there will be no negotiation.

So we are taking this public.

Over the coming days, we will be releasing redacted emails, meeting records, official responses, and even audio evidence so that aspirants and the wider public can see what is actually happening behind the marketing brochures and admission offers.

We are not doing this for drama. We are doing this because admission season is approaching, and in good faith we do not want future students to go through what our batch has gone through.

The highly unethical and morally corrupt management of this institute needs to be exposed for all to see.

If you are considering joining IIM Sambalpur, PLEASE do your research carefully before taking admission.

This is only the beginning.
