Hi all,
I had installed Rockbox on my 6th gen classic and it was working fine until rockbox was corrupted a few days ago after transferring some files. I had to start from scratch and restore the iPod and reinstall the .rockbox files. However since then I'm no longer able to repartition my drive from 128gb to the full 512gb I have on my SD card. I get a "no partition found" everytime I extend the partition and disconnect the usb / power cycle the iPod. Any advice???

Hey everyone, I've been struggling with my iPod Classic 6G (iFlash adapter) running Rockbox and I'm completely stuck.
My setup:
- iPod Classic 6th Gen
- iFlash adapter with SD card
- Windows 10
- Rockbox latest stable build
The problem: Every time I transfer music and disconnect the USB cable, Rockbox shows "No partition found." I've had to reinstall everything multiple times. Now I can't even boot into Rockbox or Apple firmware at all, and iTunes refuses to recognize the iPod.
What I've tried:
- Reformatted drive multiple times (FAT32, FAT16, exFAT)
- Reinstalled Rockbox and bootloader multiple times via Rockbox Utility
- Fixed partition active flag multiple times via diskpart
- Uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes (non-Store version)
- Cleared ghost Apple iPod drivers from Device Manager
- Extended partition using MiniTool Partition Wizard
- Used diskpart to clean and recreate correct partition layout (128MB FAT16 firmware partition + 477GB FAT32 music partition)
- Tried forcing DFU mode multiple times
Current state:
- Disk Management shows correct partition layout (128MB + 477GB FAT32)
- iPod shows in Device Manager and File Explorer but NOT in iTunes
- Cannot boot into Rockbox or Apple firmware
- Rockbox and bootloader were just reinstalled but iPod won't boot
any advice would help alot
