Hello! I’m currently a year 12 student interested in studying medicine in uni, however my predicted atar just falls short of the minimum entry requirement. Some people recommend studying biomedicine and then course switching/applying once I complete the degree, but I’m worried about not receiving a high enough gpa/GAMSAT score to apply. With this, I’d be stuck as I’m not interested in any careers a biomedicine degree offers so this outcome isn’t ideal.

Alternatively, I was thinking studying pharmacy and then applying for medicine once I complete the degree, as I wouldn’t mind being a pharmacist. However, I’m worried this’ll put me at a disadvantage applying to medicine as excelling will be difficult and studying for the GAMSAT will be a little harder.

Any advice? Thank you :)
