I built my PC from parts I bought. I bought (some of) the software and I bought the OS. IT SHOULD BE MINE!
I have a local user profile with admin rights and will never log into a Microsoft account from this machine.
There are a ton of issues I could go on about but this one takes the cake today.
Feeling nostalgic, I thought I'd download winamp. So I chose the legacy version as it doesn't require downloading from the app store. But Windows stepped in to tell me this installation is blocked by an administrator, contact your admin for more info. BUT I AM THE ADMINISTRATOR!
Every bit of info in settings seems to say I have full access, but also all these control panel/settings menus have no ability to make changes, just to incorrectly tell me the admin status of the users.
I'm sure there will be a way to circumvent this issue but why should I have to fight the OS like this??
I wish I'd taught myself Linux as a 13yo so it wouldn't feel like such a hill to climb now.
