Just curious to see if anybody loves this album as much as I do. Because I have this unconditional love for this album. I’m so happy, so ecstatic, so jovial and absolutely overjoyed when I listen to this album. Always puts me in a good mood! And I never know why i love it so much, I probably don’t have to but everything in here is just so great. I feel a certain type of happiness which I rarely feel with any art medium. The simplicity is just genius and the compositions are just so good. Chelsea Bridge and Flanagans own Dalarna are among the best things I’ve ever heard. This was recorded in Stockholm, and I’m Swedish so maybe that’s why I love it so much. And I’ve never really been into piano trio stuff but this has always stood out for me. A good time with Elvin Jones going crazy with the brushes. Tommy using all of his tricks but also being so tight and expressive. And as for the bassist (Wilbur Little) who seems to be quite unheard of is really standing out with extremely memorable parts, maybe not a Paul Chambers or a Scott LaFaro, but wow is he vocal. Does anybody agree?
