If anyone has tried the yogurt making mode, maybe you can answer me this.

I'm wanting to make my own with lactose-free milk. But I'm wondering if the starter yogurt has to be like a dairy-based yogurt. Because I use the So Delicious brand of dairy free yogurt But the milk I usually buy is lactaid brand. So I wondered if that would matter. Or if I should buy a dairy-free type of milk. I don't know how this works so if anyone else knows please help before I create a disaster!
