Anyone else do some weird shit with their protein powder?

My current thing is pouring a bowl of berry premiere protein cereal and putting a scoop of chocolate whey protein powder in it and mixing it up with some milk. I also make cold coffee and blend it with my powder and some frozen spinach.

It’s a trip, started the TRT journey back in July last year and it feels like it makes gear tempting.

To be clear, I’m not going to cruise a higher dose or start doing gear.

Also to be clear, I’m not judging anyone that does, especially since there are much worse things out there, and everyone’s goals and lifestyle are their business and not to be judged by me. Its not for me to decide or even be enough of an expert on steroids to decide for someone else their life decisions. If you are an adult and not harming anyone else, it’s all good in my book.

So when I say tempting, and that I am not going to be doing it, that is my decision based on my personal lifestyle, goals, fears, and lack of expertise around risks and risk mitigation.

I’ve had a lifetime of trauma, criminality, drug addiction, institutionalization that I have been recovering from the last 20 years that I have been clean and sober, along with being the father of three kids, two of them still young children, so risking any emotional instability around testing myself around higher levels of testosterone or other steroids isn’t something I want to risk.

That all being said, I have lost over 140lbs the last two years (all that weight came from a series of back surgeries and getting hit by a van fracturing spine, rib, tailbone and suffering a severe concussion that I believe damaged my pituitary gland, lowering my testosterone levels to 197…which was at that level before gaining the weight or unhealthy habits). I have done the sema, tirz, and finally Reta journey to lose the weight. I am now 6’2” at 225lbs with a decent amount of muscle at 48 years old. Just hit my PR of my old age of a 225lb bench today actually.

As I study TRT (I do 50mg 3x a week;150mg/week and keep a steady 900 test on my bloods), steroids are almost always in the conversations. It looks like a lot of fun getting some extra power and recovery, and if my history was different and I didn‘t have kids, I’d totally give it a shot.

My question is, does it seem like TRT ends up being a gateway to doing gear? When you read the forums, and see the reels it all seems very benign, and these things start showing up in your feeds once you start normal treatment.

I personally have seen a darker side for a lot of people firsthand. I have noticed that there is a large amount of people blasting that have very little knowledge (other than second hand from gym friends or trainers) of what they are doing and how to get bloods and keep an eye on their numbers. I have seen people get completely out of control that I know personally that have destroyed their personal lives and or health from gear. I have also seen some very successful people on gear that are very knowledgeable about their health. these people are getting monthly bloods, have their nutrition/hydration/sleep locked down, and are constantly learning (not from tik tok).

It seems like only a small percentage of people on gear are doing it successfulmy where it isn’t damaging their health and personal lives. Is that what everyone else is seeing?

I started lifting weights it’s simple 4 day workout cycle back in August of last year, push, pull, legs, rest day.

a couple months ago I was pushing up 185 5 reps for 3-4 sets, then I started a new program where there was more isolation and rest days; legs/rest/chest/rest/back-bicep/rest/shoulders-bicep/rest (all strength), the repeat the next cycle with Hypertrophy.

when I switched from doing bench with my shoulders to pushing with my lats, my bench went down to 2 reps on 185. Now I am finally back up to 185 for 6 reps and I am going to hit my PR in two days of 225, I’m pretty confident I can hit it.

I have been on a calorie deficit this whole time losing weight while building muscle, I’m 6’2” and 230lbs (started losing weight 2 years ago, I’ve lost 136 lbs).

Amount of medication: 20mg; mg is the quantity of medication.

Size of Vial: 3ml

What does mL signify? volume/amount of fluid.

what is mg/mL? It is the concentration of medication per volume of fluid.

10mg/mL means, you have 10mg of medication per 1mL of water/fluid.

So if you have a 30mg vial of medication, and you put 3mL into the vial, then you would have 10mg/mL concentration. It is SIMPLE division. My 6 year old son understands the math and the concept. I don’t buy this “I’m not good at math garbage”, you people are lazy and make no effort to understand this, and it is incredibly simple. In public schools they go through these concepts every year, over and over, there is no excuse.

If you are going to stick a syringe into your body by yourself, don’t you think you should understand the measurements on the syringe? You are a complete moron if you don’t practice this until you understand this. It’s okay to be rusty on the concept, and need to study it to relearn the information, but most of you are sticking yourselves with no concept of what you are doing.

A normal insulin syringe that you would use to administer the medication is called a U-100. That means it is a 1mL syringe with a 100 units of measurement on it. Again, simple fucking division. 10 units is .1 fucking mL. It is not rocket science. It doesn’t require a degree in mathematics.

All is requires is the mental capabilities of a 3rd grade child in public school.

There are peptide calculators out there even for those who are lazy, but if you don’t understand the basic math behind this, you will screw up at some point and post your little horror story here as if it’s reasonable that you took zero responsibility for your health and wellbeing. You aren’t a victim, you are a moron.

Use wipes on the BAC water each time you pull from it, use wipes on the medication vial each time you inject into it, and use a different syringe each time. Use a wipe each time on your injection site. Wipes and syringes aren’t expensive, and the more you can minimize infection and bacterial risk at home injecting yourself, the better.

Do fucking better. If you feel bad about what I said here today, GOOD. This world needs more shame about being an idiot. You are all glorifying being the victim idiots out in the world and it’s making it shitty for everyone.
