I’m being offered a temporary room in roommatch that will end at the start of next year (Amsterdam) I’m not sure if I should accept it. I’m tempted since housing is so hard to secure and studying in Amsterdam is my dream, but will it be a mistake, maybe I could find something else? Since if I accept it now, I’ll have to look another apartment soon and I’m worried I can’t get anything.
I also planned to work during summer in my home country so I have to pay extra to secure housing. I know that it’d normal, but it hurts to pay it since the contract is temporary. Is it dumb to decline and try to get another temporary room with the starting date closer to my studies, so I don’t waste money?
Any advice, what would you do in my situation? Thanks for help!
Edit: The rent isn’t bad at all, it’s below 800€ with utilities included
