I am a nurse with 5 years of experience. My background is primary in peds hem/onc, so I got into aesthetics as a side gig to have some reprieve. It was my dream job to do injections! But I am realizing, it isn't as glamorous as it seems. I work at a very small med spa, 1 day per week, for 8 months. We offer botox, fillers, GLPs, you name it. All I do is GLP and I am not building a clientele. I am finding that I don't think I love fillers, I just like doing botox, but I haven't done it enough to master it. I don't know if I have the hustle to work in this area and it just seems superficial. Being on social media to try to market myself, has really taken a toll on my mental health as well. This all sounds so negative, but this was my dream job, so I am just wondering if I am in the trenches and should push on or just leave this are and find something else to pursue?
