Starting well pump replacement this weekend. I’m a plumber just don’t deal with wells, I do a lot of work in the city. I now live in the county. So if anyone can help. A little background my pitiless adaptor needs to be replaced allowing debris to cover the top of it. I have to pull the pump anyways so it’s getting a swap. It’s 40 years old it’s out so I’m the type of person just to swap it all out. My plumbing house has been a huge help but figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask

Edit my biggest question is does the 5” go 256’ and why would there be an additional 8”
