Coming back to skating as an adult…i did as a pre teen and teenager and was really comfortable cruising and on small ramps…but never learned to really ollie or kickflip, just cruise.
I’ve bought a santa cruz longboard which has been great: good exercise, getting me comfortable cruising around again. Was rusty at first but feeling pretty good after a few weeks.I also got a CCS complete with all the lowest spec parts to learn ollie’s and kickflips. I’ve been riding a few miles on the longboard, then getting some cruising time in on the CCS popsicle to get comfortable there before trying more tricks. Thing is, coming off the longboard that popsicle feels SLOW, and much more awkward.
My question: is it worth moving off the tiny 100A ccs wheels to some power dragons and bones reds so i can log more time cruising on the popsicle? Or, of my goal on that is the tricks, stick with the slow wheels and just stop trying to use it like a cruiser to improve my balance on it?
